Based in Britain’s Garden of England, Kent, Uniekly take previously loved musical instruments and sympathetically repurposes them for 21st Century living spaces. From stringed instruments such as guitars, banjos, violins, and cellos to percussion instruments and grand pianos, Uniekly can transform them into the ultimate talking point for your home or office.
Each Uniekly transformation is, well, unique. We employ local artisan materials and craft skills providing an environmentally friendly, musically themed option for your furniture, storage, and decorative requirements to offer new life to old instruments, preserving them for years to come.
A Uniek Heritage
Uniekly is the husband and wife team of David and Lesley Loxley. Being born and raised in the historic furniture town of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, David says “Everyone you knew was in some way associated with the furniture industry and it was almost impossible to grow up there without learning the artisan skills which made High Wycombe famous. Even at school we were taught woodwork, metalwork and crafts by ex-industry professionals”. Nestled in the prolific beechwoods of the surrounding Chiltern Hills, High Wycombe was home to some of the most iconic names in furniture design including Ercol and G-Plan.
Following a long career in all aspects of commercial furniture, David and Lesley moved to Herne Bay in Kent. Lesley, the creative influence behind Uniekly, says “Being here in the Garden of England and with a breathtaking coastline on our doorstep has really inspired us creatively and in ways, we never thought possible. It is true to say that all that we do is in some way influenced by our surroundings from the amazing quality of light which inspired artists such as JMW Turner to driftwood on the beach to the ancient woodlands and sandstone cliffs, they all play their part”.

Vintage and pre-loved instruments with age-related marks and loads of character are Uniekly’s forte. No two products will be the same, further adding to the unique nature of our creations.

This is a commission to take a pretty nondescript electric guitar and turn it into a pretty funky “post punk” version of one of our famous Guitar Tables.

Uniekly takes your pre-loved and used favourite musical instruments and upcycle them into furniture or ornaments. Send us pictures of your musical instrument and tell us what you would like it upcycled into. We will provide you with an estimate based on that information.
